You can always count on friendly service from our great staff.
To all of the food on our menu, we add lots of fun. Next to our 1st floor entry patio there are 2 “Corn Hole Courts” for future championship play. The “Campus View” deck on the 2nd floor is the largest 2nd floor outdoor party patio in the city. During the appropriate season, it will be ready for all types of special gatherings and events with views of the campus and University Village.
The sound system is state of the art and can be controlled for separate zones. The “dance lighting system” is sound reactive. The juke box is “Touch Tunes,” and TV’s are plentiful with sizes up to 50 inch “1080i High Definition”.
Welcome to the 7th and Elm Bar and Grille. Being locally owned and operated provides the flexibility to tailor our business to the local needs and tastes of Terre Haute. 7th & Elm Bar and Grille is located in the center of University Village in a vintage 19th century building. It was originally built as a corner grocery (with living quarters upstairs) and a doctor’s office off a side door on Elm. Over the last century, the building morphed and degraded into a moving and storage warehouse. At the 100 year mark, 1995, the Hellmann’s purchased the building and totally rehabbed it into a fraternity house in the center of the new University Village. The facility has now been transformed into the 7th & Elm Bar and Grille.
To preserve the history and charm of this vintage building, the original front and addition have the same design that existed over 100 years ago. Enjoy your time here and please let us know how we can make your visit even more enjoyable.
We do not buy frozen, pre-formed hamburger patties for our burgers. We buy the whole steer. Our WholeBeef Burgers™ are made from grain fed steers locally grown by beef producers we know personally. The selected steers are locally processed to our exact specifications. We hand patty all of our WholeBeef Burgers™, then grill the patties on an OPEN flame to your specifications. We call these patties WholeBeef Burgers™ because we specify to our processors that our ground beef cannot be just the “meat processing left-over’s.” Our patties include all of the roasts, round, cube, Delmonico, chuck and sirloin steaks. All (93%) of the good parts are included. The Rib Eyes go to the 7th & Elm customers on our special “Steak Nights” (1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month). To ensure all appetites enjoy these “WholeBeef Burgers™”, we offer the patties in two sizes: quarter pounders for the light appetites and half pounders for the hearty appetites. Go ahead; bite into the BEST “WholeBeef Burgers™” in town.
Beer is BEST when it is cold. We are striving to provide our customers the “Coldest Beer in Town”. To do this we have built a separate walk-in cooler just for our beer kegs. (That way the beer can be colder than the milk, lettuce, and tomatoes). The keg cooler is located right behind the wall of the 1st floor bar. The tubing running from the keg cooler to both bars are refrigerated to ensure the beer stays COLD along the way to your “frosted” glass. Go ahead and ENJOY!
Are you having a social or business meeting, a shower, rehearsal dinner or bachelor/bachelorette party, a birthday, anniversary or retirement party and need a place to celebrate? Our second floor “Village Hall” (up to 50 people) or out door “Campus View Deck”(up to 150 people) can be yours. You can reserve part or all of “Village Hall” and/or the “Campus View Deck”.
